About Us at Crossing Your Bridge

Our Mission
Crossing Your Bridge is about making people feel special when facing life-changing events through hope-filled solutions.
We live by three major core values and they are:

Hope translates to freedom
Wisdom is information and creativity
Encouragement is easy and light-hearted

Our Name
Founder, Meredith "Kit" Bromfield, came up with the name "Crossing Your Bridge" because most of her life she would hear people say “I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it." She realized that people had a tendency to avoid things that they perceived were unpleasant or had no clue how to handle.  She realized the significance of this saying as each year of her life completed and those bridges that she wished to avoid became a part of her life.

Our Logo
Hummingbirds
symbolize stamina and perseverance showing us that we can go the distance without becoming depleted. Because hummingbirds can see from all angles, they remind us to expand our perceptions and acknowledge the beauty we create in ourselves in everything we learn.

During the courtship of hummingbird partners, a female creates a luminous arc or bridge to connect her life to another. This helps bring our own awareness to our life lessons that we may be avoiding.

Bridges can signify challenge ,but they can also offer hope. A red bridge represents a significant event. The height of the bridge is high and has the feeling that it would be helpful to walk across it with someone who knew what was on the other side. If you notice, the color of the bridge changes from dark to lighter and brighter as you walk from left to right. This represents hope of a better tomorrow. The waterfall on the right represents flowing joy and abundant life, and these are the gifts we want to give you for allowing us to help you cross your bridge.

Meredith "Kit" Bromfield is a life coach, an author, an inspirational speaker, and founder of Crossing Your Bridge©. Her twenty plus years of counseling on life issues (finances, relationships, emotions and eternal) have given her the expertise needed to help men and women navigate through this complex world.

Meredith’s passion is two-fold. First, to make a difference in the lives of the people she touches with her wisdom and common sense. Second, she feels that her mission is global in nature as there are people all over the world that are struggling with the same issues. Her focus is on helping individuals face the challenges of change. These changes may be minor or life-changing.

Her company, Crossing Your Bridge, is focused on four areas:

1.      The corporate component – we realize that in today’s economic climate that getting help to handle the challenge of changes that are facing employees are quickly becoming the most important factor to increase productivity in the workplace.

2.      Challenge of Change - Becoming a Caregiver - as we are aging and finding ourselves having to deal with this very serious and life changing issue the need to find resources and a strong support system is very crucial.

3.      Finding a New Path – as we are discovering we are living longer and for many, second careers and sudden career changes may thrust us into new challenges. Our expert team has been created to help a person become financially, relationally, emotionally, and spiritually “Free.”

4.      Creating a Legacy – a program designed to help an individual to commemorate that their life mattered!

Meredith has teamed up with Smart women’s coaching and is a contributing expert in the Designated Daughter program.  The team includes attorneys, life coaches, tax experts and a multitude of other support experts who offer workshops and webinars. The main theme of the workshops and webinars is helping people understand the questions they need to be asking when they are faced with a life-changing event such as becoming a “Caregiver” or desiring to create a legacy. Meredith is excited about the prospect of being able to help individuals have a great quality of life through this  “caregiver” program. Meredith has written several books with the newest being a workbook for “Creating a Legacy," which addresses the four pillars of a legacy. The goal of the workbook is to give individuals an opportunity to address the four pillars (values/life lessons, their “stuff”, financial assets and final wishes). Meredith will be working with Katana Abbott, founder of Smart Women’s Coaching to create a caregivers handbook in the upcoming year.

We, at Crossing Your Bridge, really want their lives to have mattered and to help them realize this as well. We are also dedicated to helping companies who are facing challenges with the productivity of their employees as a result of these issues whether it is becoming a caregiver or finding out that there are major changes in the corporate environment or the economy and the constant upheaval that it is presenting. Through personal guidance and a multitude of resources, we will explore options to help you customize solutions for "crossing your bridge." No matter what "bridge" you are facing, there are keys that will help enhance your journey.

If you are going to take a trip, do you need directions?  Some of us do, some of us don't and some of us need directions but refuse to ask for help.  My dad's passing from cancer gave me the will to start my journey into a life of fulfillment.  Did I need directions?  Oh yes.  Did I need guidance?  Oh yes.  Did I have suffering patters to change?  Oh yes.  Once you start your journey to wholeness you too will discover the beauty of you.

When Meredith Bromfield approached me about working with Crossing Your Bridge I saw an opportunity to help women and men who were looking to change their unhappy, unconscious way of living. Having been there myself I understood their pain.

As a practitioner in the holistic wellness industry for the last 6 years, I knew I had developed a loving, no nonsense approach to helping people get in touch with their true selves by releasing their buried patterns of sabotage. In 2007 I started the Innermission program for Spiritual Companioning and have fine tuned my counseling and listening skills.

By being a 20-year veteran in public speaking, I knew information had power. So when Meredith mentioned we would be doing classes and speaking to groups of men and women I knew I would feel right at home.

At Crossing Your Bridge I am a transformational coach. I know the steps to getting unstuck in life and now together we just need to put those steps in action to get you living your life successfully.

I would also like to introduce my daily blog, THE JOURNEY.  It includes posts about the hardship and most difficult bridge me and my family are trying to cross.  Please check back regulary for new posts or feel free to subscribe to the blog. The hope, in creating the blog, is that it will help Krys and will help others who are experiencing a similar situation.
